Woman At The Airport With Biscuit packet

One night there was a woman at the airport who had to wait for several hours before catching her next flight. While she waited she bought a book and a pack of biscuits to spend the time. She looked for a place to sit and waited.



She was deep into her book, when suddenly she realized that there was a young man sitting next to her who was stretching his hand and, with no concern whatsoever, and grabbing the pack of cookies lying between  them. He started to eat them one by one.

Not wanting to make a fuss about it she decided to ignore him. The woman, slightly bothered, ate the cookies and watched the clock, while the young and shameless thief of biscuits was also finishing them. The woman started to get really angry at this point and thought "If I wasn't such a good and educated person, I would have given this daring man a black eye by now. "Every time she ate a biscuit, he had one too.

The dialogue between their eyes continued and when only one biscuit was left, she wondered what was he going to do. Softly and with a nervous smile, the young man grabbed the last biscuit and broke it in two. He offered one half to the woman while he ate the other half. Briskly she took the biscuit and thought, "What an insolent man! How uneducated! He didn't even thank me!" She had never met anybody so fresh and sighed relieved to hear her flight announced.

She grabbed her bags and went towards the boarding gate refusing to look back to where that insolent thief was seated. After boarding the plane and nicely seated, she looked for her book which was nearly finished by now.

While looking into her bag she was totally surprised to find her pack of biscuits nearly intact. If my biscuits are here, she thought feeling terribly, those others were his and he tried to share them with me.  Too late to apologize to the young man, she realized with pain, that it was she who had been insolent, uneducated and a thief, and not him.

How many times in our lives, had we known with certainty that something happened in a certain way, only to discover later that it wasn't true? How many times has our lack of trust within us made us judge other people unfairly with our conceited ideas, often far away from reality. That is why we have to think twice before we judge others. Let's always give others the benefit of the doubt before we think badly of them..

Why Should I feel Bad?

Once, there was this guy, who was in love with a girl. She wasn’t the most beautiful and gorgeous but for him, she was everything. He used to dream about her, about spending the rest of life with her. His friends told him, “why do you dream so much about her, when you don’t even know if she loves you or not?  First tell her your feelings, and get to know if she likes you or not”.

He felt that was the right way.   The girl knew from the beginning, that this guy loves her.   One day when he proposed, she rejected him.  His friends thought he would take alcohol, drugs etc and ruin his life.  To their surprise, he was not depressed.

When they asked him how was it that he is not sad,  he replied, “‘why should I feel bad? I lost one who never loved me and she lost the one who really loved and cared for her.”

True Love is Hard to Get.  Love is all about giving to other person without greed of gaining anything in return, if other person rejects it, its him/her who will be losing the most important thing in life. So never feel dejected.

Hide the Weakness and Highlight the Strength

There was a King who had 1 eye and 1 leg. He asked all the painters to draw a beautiful portrait of him.

But none of them could because how could they paint him beautifully with the defects in 1 eye and 1 leg. Eventually one of them agreed and drew a classic picture of the King.



It was a fantastic picture and surprised everyone.

He painted the King AIMING for a HUNT. Targeting with One eye closed and one leg bent.

MORAL: Why can’t we all paint pictures like this for others. Hiding their weaknesses and highlighting their strengths....!!

To hate all roses, because you got scratched by one thorn.

To give up all your dreams, because one did not come true.

To lose faith in prayers, because one was not answered.

To give up on your efforts, because one of them failed.


To condemn all your friends, because one of them betrayed.

Not to believe anyone, because someone was unfaithful.

Remember that, another chance may come up.

Necessary to clean life of....................

Sometimes it becomes necessary to clean life of unwanted relationships. It's important to know who really cares for you and who is just an unwanted appendage. Steer clear of friends who display any of the following traits.

Those who forget your birthday. You two are regularly meeting, but the other one forgets your birthday! It clearly shows you hardly matter in his/her life.

Those who go out only when they make plans and do not care about yours.

Those who are always proving you wrong. You can't be friends with someone who makes you feel stupid. Whether it is correcting your pronunciation or showing you off his bit of knowlwdge vs a vis yours, that person is too taxing to be friends with.

People who are not interested in how you want to spend time and always do it their way.

People who do not feel you are close enough to meet their family.

People who have ditched you more than once.

Friends who are close buddies of your sworn enemies. It simply means they do not share your feelings and emotions.

People who talk ill of others all the time, but are very sweet on their faces. Beware, there is a huge possibility this person is talking shit about you too!

 Those who are habitual liars. Those who lie have very little scruples. So it is better to steer clear of them.

Friends who are not happy in your joy or success.

People who never ask how your day/off/holiday/weekend was. It simply means they are not interested in knowing you.

Your competitiors. It becomes difficult for friendship to thrive when there is stiff competition. There can be a few exceptions but it is safe to follow this general belief.

Friends who are unpredictable. You can't depend on them as they keep swinging between rainy and sunny moods.

The Two Wives

A middle-aged man had two wives, one old and one young. Each one desired to see him like herself. Now the man's hair was turning grey, which the young wife did not like, as it made him look too old for her husband. So every night, she used to comb his hair and pull out the white ones. But the elder wife saw her husband growing grey with great pleasure, for she did not like to be mistaken for his mother. So every morning, she would comb his hair and pull out as many of the black ones as she could. As a result, the man soon found himself entirely bald. 

Moral -Yield to all and you will soon have nothing to yield.

Few Minutes of Silence............

There once was a farmer who discovered that he had lost his watch in the barn. It was no ordinary watch because it had sentimental value for him. After searching high and low in the hay for a long time, he gave up and enlisted the help of a group of children playing outside the barn. He promised them that the person who found it would be rewarded. Hearing this, the children hurried inside the barn, went through and around the entire stack of hay, but still could not find the watch. Just when the farmer was about to give up looking for his watch, a little boy went up to him and asked to be given another chance. The farmer looked at him and thought, 'Why not? After all, this kid looks sincere enough.' So the farmer sent the little boy back to the barn. After a while, the little boy came out with the watch in his hand! The farmer was both happy and surprised. He asked the boy how he managed to succeed where the rest had failed. The boy replied, "I did nothing but sit on the ground and listen. In the silence, I heard the ticking of the watch and just looked for it in that direction.


"A peaceful mind can think better than a worked up mind. Allow a few minutes of silence to your mind every day, and see, how sharply it helps you to set your life the way you expect it to be!

Scattered Paper

Once upon a time an old man spread rumors that his neighbor was a thief. As a result, the young man was arrested. Days later the young man was proven innocent. After been released he sued the old man for wrongly accusing him. 

In court the old man told the Judge: 'They were just comments, didn't harm anyone..' 

The judge, before passing sentence on the case, told the old man: 'Write all the things you said about him on a piece of paper. Cut them up and on the way home, throw the pieces of paper out. Tomorrow, come back to hear the sentence.' 

The next day, the judge told the old man: 'Before receiving the sentence, you will have to go out and gather all the pieces of paper that you threw out yesterday.' 

The old man said: 'I can't do that! The wind spread them and I won't know where to find them.' 

The judge then replied: 'The same way, simple comments may destroy the honor of a man to such an extent that one is not able to fix it. 

"If you can't speak well of someone, rather don't say anything"

Every obstacle presents an opportunity

In ancient times, a king had a boulder placed on a roadway. Then he hid himself and watched to see if anyone would remove the huge rock. Some of the king's wealthiest merchants and courtiers came by and simply walked around it. 

Many loudly blamed the king for not keeping the roads clear, but none did anything about getting the big stone out of the way. Then a peasant came along carrying a load of vegetables. On approaching the boulder, the peasant laid down his burden and tried to move the stone to the side of the road. After much pushing and straining, he finally succeeded. 

As the peasant picked up his load of vegetables, he noticed a purse lying in the road where the boulder had been. The purse contained many gold coins and a note from the king indicating that the gold was for the person who removed the boulder from the roadway. The peasant learned what many others never understand. 

Lesson: Every obstacle presents an opportunity to improve one's condition

Do not be unforgiving of yourself if you commit a mistake...........

Do not be unforgiving of yourself if you commit a mistake or make an error. Life didn't come with a fool-proof manual. Most of us are doing the best that we can. We’re not perfect. We learn from our mistakes and from stumbling. 

Like almost everyone else, I have a great number of responsibilities. In fact, it usually seems like I’m juggling ten or twenty balls in the air simultaneously. So, to assume, I’ll never make mistakes is absurd.

Can you sense how framing mistakes in this more realistic way gets you off the hook? In other words, when you make a mistake – even a stupid one – this more philosophical outlook allows you to keep your perspective and sense of humor instead of beating yourself up. Instead of saying to yourself, “What an idiot,” you should be able to say, “More proof that I’m human.”
